"Hopeful Minds Internship: Empowering Community support

Program Overview:

The Remote Behavioral Health Outreach Specialist Internship is a unique opportunity offered by Trinity Supportive Housing & Consumer Services for high school and college students. This internship program is designed to provide practical experience in the field of behavioral health outreach while allowing interns to make a positive impact on individuals in need of support.  


The Remote Behavioral Health Outreach Specialist Internship is a 3-month program aimed at equipping students with valuable skills in behavioral health outreach, community support, community resources, communication, and empathy. Through remote work arrangements, interns have the chance to connect with behavioral health professionals who work with clients facing behavioral health challenges in need of community resources such as housing, employment, food and education. 


Training and Guidance

 Interns receive comprehensive training in effective communication, research resources, cultural sensitivity, and the basics of behavioral health. Interns are guided by experienced professionals who provide mentorship and support throughout the program. 

Impact and Benefits: 

  • Interns play a direct role in enhancing the well-being of individuals in need of behavioral health support. 
  • They gain practical experience in remote communication, behavioral health, and empathetic interaction. 
  • Interns contribute to a meaningful cause and become advocates for mental health awareness and support. 

Eligibility Criteria: The Remote Behavioral Health Outreach Specialist Internship is open to: 

  • High school students in (11th-12th grade) 
  • College students majoring in (Area of study)
